450 Supersingle is a unique new class of motorcycle racing that takes cues from the European tradition of smaller, lightweight road racing machines. Born and bred in the US, the Supersingle bikes are 450cc 4 stroke motocross bikes converted to road racing bikes via a sportbike front end, wheels/tires, bodywork and little else. Essentially what the Supersingle class can offer is affordable, competitive and lightweight bikes. As the motorcycle industry and racing venues phase out 2 stroke motors, the Supersingles have potential to be a large segment of American motorcycle racing, providing an exciting track experience at a relatively low cost.
