Brendan Rice from Derby, England sent in these shots of his 450 Supersingle project. The bike is based on an 2006 Honda CRF450 engine and chassis but will use a pair of Suzuki GSXR 1000 forks, an Aprilia RSVR 1000 Ohlins rear shock, Marcesini wheels, BeOn Automotive bodywork and plenty of custom machined parts.

All manual machining has been done by Brendan himself except for the more complex suspension components which will be CNC machined. Such as the new rocker, links and a top yoke which was designed with a 20mm drop to push the forks through and give scope for adjustment. Geometry software is being used to do all the calculations to ensure it handles really well. Brendan wants to achieve a rear suspension with a very flat linear ration and only a small amount of progression.

Expected completion of the bike will sometime February / March 2010. After that Brendan will use the Supersingle as a track bike for himself and enter it in a few rounds of the Thundersport GB with the rider still to be chosen.
